Verbundwerkstoffe auf Flüssigsiliconkautschukbasis

Nowadays, composite materials have replaced a lot of traditional ones in a variety of applications. Lightweights coupled with enhanced properties are the main reasons for their market acceptance.
The high aspect ratio of the reinforcing particle and its adhesion to the matrix are of great importance as they control the final properties of the composites. The aim of this work was to prepare mixtures based on silicone rubber via nanoscale.
The studied materials were prepared via „in situ“ polymerisation of cyclic oligomers in the presence of thermolabile initiator (tetramethylamoniumhydroxide) and via homogenisation of nanoscale fillers and silicone rubber a,ω-dihydroxy-poly(dimethyl siloxane) of different viscosity using mixing on a three-roll mill.
