LWB Steinl: Energy-efficient rubber and TPE processing with the same equipment
During the late nineties more and more customers that produce door seals for the automotive industry where asking for technologies to bond EPDM to TPE. This was the signal for the company to start building TPE machines to support the traditional elastomer processors in their move to the new materials. The machines are marketed under the name Polyvalent and are designed to process elastomers or TPE with the E-type injection unit. The customer gets with this technology a flexible machine which can be used for both materials, rubbers and TPEs. With the steadily increasing demand about 10 years ago the company also started building injection units with reciprocating screws for TPEs.
Different concepts are available for all kinds of tasks like corner moulding, glass encapsulation, applications with inserts, etc.
