PHILIPPINES: Petron awards Foster Wheeler contract for Bataan refinery upgrade project
The upgrade, described as the company’s “biggest and most ambitious investment to date,” will result in the refinery having a processing capacity of 180,000 b/d and the ability to process a wider range of crude oils. It will also increase propylene production capacity by nearly 200% to more than 250,000 t/y.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
