KUWAIT: PIC partnering with Equate to build proposed Olefins III project
Minister of Oil Mohammad Al-Busairi noted that there have been difficulties in finding land for the complex, but suggested the “most sensible location for the project will be near the new refinery in the southern region,” which is also a future PIC project.
PIC in 2010 said it was continuing to develop plans for its third olefins complex. At that time, the company said it would have a capacity of more than 1-million t/y and would cost about $5-billion to build.
