Solvay consolidates activities in China

Solvay Solexis, a 100 % subsidiary of the Solvay Group, Brussels, Belgium, announced its new polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) micronised powder plant to be completed and operational in China, in the first quarter of 2008.

Solvay Solexis also intends to build an integrated production plant for the manufacturing of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for coating applications and related monomers at the site. The new PTFE plant is located in the Jiangsu High-Tech Fluorochemical Industrial Park in Changshu, about 100 km west of Shanghai.
