Elastomer Bulletin 3: China SBR Industry and Market Report 2009

The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, Inc. (IISRP) and the China National Chemical Information Center (CNCIC) have jointly published the third report of their Elastomer Bulletin series of publications, titled China Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) Industry and Market Report (2009).

The thirteen-page report details the SBR market by supply and demand in China. Chinese SBR demand reached more than 1.1milliont in 2009, an increase of 21.4% versus the previous year. The data in this report includes supply, demand, import and export as well as future expansion projects. The Chinese SBR capacity was 1.0milliont at the end of 2009. It is expected that additional 600kt of SBR will be added in the next decade. The report also analyses the impact of the USA tyre anti-dumping policy as well as the 2010 Chinese SBR market.
