The company's Polybatch ABACT antibacterial masterbatches inhibit the growth of microorganisms that can cause odours, discolouration, the formation of mildew, or deterioration in the physical properties of plastics. Its Polybatch AMIC antimicrobial masterbatches protect against bacteria and fungus. The company utilises silver ion technologies in its antibacterial and antimicrobial masterbatches.

Schulman provides global support for these products in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, where it works with processors and product manufacturers on application development; product selection, testing and validation; manufacturability; and regulatory support.
