Kuraray announces brand name for acrylic TPE

After having been introduced to the market under the provisional name LA Polymer, the acrylic TPE of Kuraray is from now on officially marketed under the brand name Kurarity. The Japanese company is currently installing a 5000 t/a capacity for this product at its Niigata Plant in Tainai City. The expansion is expected to be completed in August 2011.

Kurarity is a block copolymer of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate that combines transparency and weather resistance with elasticity and good adhesive qualities.
