Comerio Ercole: Developments in rubber calendering and mixing

The Italian company Comerio Ercole will present technical innovations in the rubber calendering process. Two new developments will be introduced: the first is a new and patented FH-1 system that allows complete hydraulic positioning of the movable rolls of a calender, and the second one is an automatic winding system of the rubberised product.

The FH-1 system allows both a better "position" control and a "pressure" control as well, giving the possibility of a constant check on the lamination load. The second innovation is a "shuttle" type winding unit, which has proved to be reliable and very efficient, according to Comerio.

In the field of rubber mixing, Comerio will not only present the traditional ranges of mixers from 2–240 l, but also a new integrated range of internal mixers including tangential ones of 270 l and 340 l with 2-4-6-wing rotors and intermeshing mixers (14-80-100-150-210 l), all manufactured under Kobelco licence.

In recent years, Comerio and Kampf-KKA have established the CKA GmbH joint venture in Germany. In order to further develop CKA's technological competences in calendering and finishing of PVC-PUR-PP sheets, an agreement has recently been reached with Isotex-Gruppo Colombo, which became partner of CKA with a joint share like that of Comerio. Therefore, CKA can now also take advantage of lamination, rotogravure printing, inspection, rewinding and embossing/laminating technologies. Thus, Comerio will exhibit at one booth but with two independent meeting points together with Isotex and also CKA.
