KraussMaffei Berstorff: Extrusion lines for rubber hose production

At the K show, Krauss­Maffei Berstorff will showcase many of its new systems in action, for instance:

• Injection moulding cells for manufacturing under sterile conditions
• Extrusion with the newly-developed Quick­Switch adaptable die concept
• Manufacturing cell for multicomponent parts with premium surfaces – one-stage process including PU processing
• Modular compounding system in EasyClean design for easy colour changes

Among these and other highlights, the company will present its extrusion lines for rubber hose production. Knowing that the wide variety of rubber hose applications requires differentiated technology, KraussMaffei Berstorff offers customised one-stop solutions – from project planning to the manufacture of individual machine components right through to the set-up and start-up of complete hose extrusion lines. Its product range comprises the core machines of the line, the test laboratory with various test stations as well as the cleaning and recycling equipment for the bandage and the plastic mandrels.

In the automotive industry, its lines are mainly used for the production of hoses designed for exhaust systems, power trains, oil cooling, couplings, brake and heating/cooling systems, air-conditioning units, fuel supply, steering gears or chassis frames, air-flow routing and suction systems. In addition, the machine manufacturer offers production line concepts for hydraulic hoses rated for pressures of up to 420 bar, autogeneous, construction and conveying hoses as well as for hoses used in the food, beverage, cosmetics, chemical, pharmaceutical and fuelling industries. During the last few years, the company has delivered six complete hose extrusion lines.
