Braunform: Rotary table technology

Braunform is a specialist for tool and die equipment for medical and multi-component technology and one of the few suppliers offering upper-class rotary tables with diameters between 900 mm and 1,400 mm.

Braunform will demonstrate at K the production of two-component razor parts made of TPE/PS with a 900 mm rotary table.

Setting up moulds on rotary tables from Braunform can be done without adaptors. This enables the user to quickly change moulds. Furthermore, the latest generation of these tables is very flat allowing for shorter parting distances when opening the mould and thus savings on cycle time. Additionally there is more space for complex moulds.

Rotary tables are mostly used as external solutions, and can be used for many different moulds. As modular components, index plates or index crosses can be integrated alternatively into the mould or in special cases into the moving plate of the machine.

At K 2010 Braunform will display a middle-sized 900 mm multi-cavity rotary table with TPE/PS parts. The table will be fitted with the mould half of a 32+32 multi-cavity mould. In the mould, a customer of Braunform will produce a two component TPE/PS-combined razor part with a part weight of 0,83 g. According to Braunform, this rotary table is suitable for machines with clamping forces of 2,500?–?2,750 kN with a turning rate of 1.5 s during continuous operation.
