Plasticker: Online marketplace for the plastics industry

The industry portal plasticker.com will present itself for the second time at K, on the joint stand of the German ministry for trade, medium and small sized enterprises and energy of the state of North Rhine Westphalia. The focus of the online portal is the B2B marketplace for raw materials and the machine trading exchange, as well as the industry job market and an exchange for trade representatives. Furthermore, Plasticker provides daily news on the exchange about the market, companies and products, professional articles, raw material prices, and market data. A calendar of events rounds off the range of information.

There are regularly around 3,000 offers and requests to be found in the raw material exchange (granulate, compounds, ground materials, flakes, recyclate), as well as around 2,000 in the machine exchange (injection moulding machines, extrusion lines, shredding and granulation technology, ancillary equipment etc.). In a network the job market brings together around 20 trade portals.

The bilingual online portal (German and English) was established in September 2001. With approximately 15,500 registered participants from 116 nations worldwide and monthly around 750,000 page impressions (PIs, audited by IVW), Plasticker ranks among the most used portals in the plastics industry.
