Dow Chemical: PU bathtub reinforcing system

Hotter, quieter baths will soon be possible with new Durelast technology. At this year’s K show, Dow Formulated Systems will launch the Durelast bathtub reinforcing system.

The polyurethane-based system creates a fine mist-like spray which lessens the overspray, saves time and reduces waste on trimming. Health and safety advantages are also achieved through the elimination of both noxious odours and the handling of glass fibres. Production times are also reduced by hours, with bathtubs ready for cutting as soon as 15 minutes after being sprayed. The new technology allows for flexibility in the shape and size of bathtubs.
