Thermoplastic Materials. Properties, Manufacturing Methods and Applications
This book is based mainly on a course of the author, who is professor of plastics engineering technology and director of the Center of Nanocomposites and Multifunctional Materials at Pittsburgh State University. The chapters discuss the different groups of thermoplastics including polyproyplene, olefin copolymers with EDPM and EVA, vinyls, polystyrenes, polyesters, polycarbonates, polyacetals, polypheylene sulfides, fluoropolymers, liquid crystalline polymers, polysulfones, polyimides, PEEK, poylphenylene oxides, and cellulosics. Chapters on functionalised thermoplastics and elastomers as well as nanocomposites complete the work.
