Smithers Rapra names new Senior Process Technologist

Jon Lea has been appointed as new Senior Process Technologist at Smithers Rapra. In his new role, he will support the technical processing team and specialised manufacturing services at the European site headquarters within the UK.

According to Smithers Rapra, Lea brings a wealth of practical experience and knowledge of the polymer processing industry, and the company expects his input will enhance its capabilities with extrusion trouble shooting through to speciality compounding and formulation development.

Lea previously spent 19 years with APV and Baker Perkins, a manufacturer of twin screw extruders. His role with them included leading large scale plant commissioning projects along with process development. His most recent role was in technical sales with responsibility for Europe account development.
