Chem-Trend introduces new purging compound for TPE processing

With Lusin Clean 1020 Chem-Trend has introduced a new purging compound for the cleaning of extruders and injection molding machines in the processing of thermoplastic elastomers. The new product has been developed to help to solve process related problems with color and material changes and to eliminate “black specks”. It has been NSF H2 registered, making it suitable for the manufacture of products that are subject to particularly stringent hygiene requirements.

The ready-for-use granulate has been successfully tested by leading industry manufacturers, saids Chem-Trend. Compared to conventional cleaning processes and products, it can lead to cost reductions of 50-70 % with regard to material consumption, down times and scrap rates. These savings may vary, depending on the manufacturing process and respective specific conditions. It is suitable for hot runners and has already been used successfully with products such as tooth brushes or hoses.

“With the development of Lusin Clean 1020, Chem-Trend once again offers a new, tailored solution for a highly specialised application,” notes Chem-Trend global business development director for thermoplastics René Gräwe.
