New TPEs for caps, closures, wine corks and grips
The new FDA compliant and translucent Elastocon 2850PE and 2865PE grades have a Shore A hardness of 50 and 65, respectively. They are said to be odorless and have been formulated for extruding as well as overmolding and coextruding onto PE.
This new formulations are special additions to the 2800 series of TPEs for applications that require rubber-like properties, colorability and a good surface finish. They are suited for medical, consumer and even outdoor industrial applications that require UV stability and need to be easily processed. Six other grades are also available in the series, ranging in Shore A hardness from 10 to 80.
The new grades are available as pellets in 1,000 pound quantities.
