VDI Expert Forum „Adhesion and thermoplastic composite structures“ with presentation of new VDI TPE guideline no. 2019
A new edition of the VDI Expert Forum will be organised by the Commitee „Polymere Ingenieurswerkstoffe“ (Polymeric Engineered Materials“) within the VDI (Association of German Engineers) on 26 October 2010 just before K 2010 starts in Düsseldorf. One highlight of the event will be the presentation of the new VDI guideline no. 2019 for the „Testing of the adhesion of thermoplastic elastomers on thermoplastic substrates“. Besides presentation and discussion of the long expected new guideline there will be a series of technical papers covering multiple aspects of adhesion:
- Adhesions systems and adhesion tapes for composite structures
- Current situation of the adhesion technology / Adhesion testing of tape systems
- Rubber-to-metal composite parts
- Rubber-to-plastics composite parts
- New trends in the rubber industry
- Insert-moulding with engineered thermoplastics
- Multi-component injection moulding for electric and electronic applications
- Selective electro-plating
- Selective chrome plating
- Surface modification
- Activating and constructive design of surfaces
- Laser welding of materials
- Optimal material composites with verified processing data for quality control
- Reglementation of harmful substances and pollutants in the plastics industry / Sense and nonsense of discussions dealing with this
Presentations will be in German language only.
Location is the Lindner Hotel in Düsseldorf, chairmen are Sven Druwen (A. Schulman) and Kurt Gebert (Allod).
