Styron opens new S-SBR line in Schkopau

On 15 October 2012 Styron Rubber Business celebrated the opening of its new S-SBR (Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber) production line. The new production line introduces an additional capacity of 50,000 t/y at the production facility in Schkopau, ­Germany and supplies tyre customers globally. This world-scale unit supplies Styron’s tyre customers around the world. RFP Rubber Fibres Plastics spoke to Francesca Reverberi, Business Director Rubber at Styron.
