With 2,600 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors, the combined Wire and Tube 2012 fairs in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the end of March 2012 focused on metal processing and products. Nevertheless, plastic compounds, thermoplastic elastomers, polyurethane, and rubber interests were represented on at least 70 stands. This also included extrusion and compounding machinery and lines, online inspection, dosing equipment, as well as a number of plastic cable and wire spools/drums producers.
