Al Waha Petrochemicals Co., a subsidiary of Sahara Petrochemicals Co., has restarted production at its Jubail, Saudi Arabia, complex after a 17 Aug. 2014 technical fault in the utilities unit led to the interruption of production on all operating units.
Al Waha has 467,000 t/y of propylene capacity and 450,000 t/y of polypropylene capacity at its Jubail site.
The company performed some periodic maintenance during the shutdown, and customers were supplied with standby reserves.
Last year, Al Waha was forced to shut down its production facilities because of a technical fault in its utilities.
