Under this motto, Albrecht Bäumer GmbH & Co. KG, the long-established German manufacturer of cutting equipment, will showcase its latest products at K 2010.
The company will present its OFS-H Twincut horizontal contour cutting machine, which combines two cutting systems in one model and can be run with either a circulating or an oscillating knife. The CNC-controlled three-axis machine with touch panel combines the advantages of the two cutting systems. Upholstery parts and mattresses can be manufactured by means of a circulating knife and cutting speeds of up to 40 m/min (optionally 60 m/min). Technical parts and automotive applications which require high accuracy can be cut by means of the the oscillating knife.
The BSM splitting machine is suited for materials with a weight of up to 150 kg/m3 and a hardness of up to 50 Shore, such as PU and rubber rebond foam, PE, EPP, and EVA foam or latex. On the K fair, the machine will be equipped with new equipment which allows the cutting and the subsequent handling of thin foils made from materials such as neoprene, PE or cellular rubber.
Furthermore, the company will showcase a SMW peeling machine for the manufacturing of foils made from PU foam, rebond foam, rubber composites, etc., equipped with an original control system. Bäumer will also present its ProCut band knives with hardened tooth tips and a longer service life of up to 40 %, compared to standard knives.
A live project engineering show is the special highlight on the Bäumer stand. The company offers automation solutions, combining machines and handling equipment, even turnkey projects. It will be possible to watch live and on screen how new projects are created.
In parallel to the K fair the company will be holding an exhibition at its factory in Freudenberg and will also be providing a free shuttle service.
