Polyurethane industry end-use study awarded to IAL Consultants
The Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry (API), Arlington, VA, USA, has announced that the London based company IAL Consultants has been awarded a contract to undertake the End-Use Market Study of the Polyurethanes Industry in NAFTA (United States, Canada and Mexico) for 2004. This is the first year that IAL will conduct the API study. The IAL’s team will interview over 400 end-users, processors and raw material manufacturers. The study will quantify the use of polyurethanes by end-use market segment, material type, raw materials, evaluate growth patterns since 1998 and identify trends affecting material and product usage. Particular areas of interest in this year’s study are the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers sector of the polyurethane market as well as the fast growing use of polyurethanes in Mexico. At the API Technical Conference and Trade Fair being held 17-19 Oct 2005, in Houston, Tx, IAL Consultants will present the results of the 2004 study. The 2002 End-Use Market Survey is currently available for purchase through the API website at www.polyurethane.org. The new 2004 study will be available for purchase after this year's conference.
