The Indian compounding specialist Technovinyl Polymers India (“The Little Giant”) is on expansion course. The company with registered office in Mumbai and compounding facilities in Silvassa (ca. 150 km north of Mumbai) has announced a name change and plans for a new compounding unit.
Karan K. Chandan, Director of the company, explained: ”The ethical essence of this new name change was based on recent and past achievements as well as future activities. KK has always been the original name of the group for 40+ years, Compounding is our core strength, technology has been and will remain our key motif, motivation and lastly we have elevated ourselves from our earlier modest tag-line of the ‘Little Giant’ to the ‘ Tech Giant ‘. Hence it is KK Kompounding Tech Giant Ltd.”
Chandan furthermore said to the existing three compounding units and two TPE extrusion facilities in India the company is adding a new compounding facility with most modern equipment to be commissioned by early 2020. The new unit will be located in Silvassa and will produce TPS and TPV for customers in the automotive, wire and cable, and footwear industries. Capacity will be 9,000 t/y.
KK Kompounding Tech Giant Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2015 company with approximately 110 employees and a current capacity of 20,000 t/y. The company develops, produces and markets PVC and TPE compounds with TPE being the main products with a 65 % share of the portfolio. In Silvassa it has cleanroom class 100,000 facilities. Under the Holm KK brand it manufactures extruded profiles and gaskets from PVC, TPE, and PP.
