Engel opens new service center in Prague

Austrian machine builder Engel has recently opened the new service center of Engel Czechia in Prague, the oldest Engel subsidiary in eastern Europe. This is one of the most important construction projects the company realised in recent years. With 33 employees, of which 17 are service engineers, and an extensive spare parts storage, Engel Czechia is considered as the largest subsidiary in the organisation. With a training center and the large technical capacity, ECZ positions itself as a technical service center, which is not exclusive to the economic area of the Czech Republic, but is available as needed to the entire region of middle and eastern Europe. Engel has been present since the fifties in its eastern neighbouring countries with a dense network of representatives. The company currently is present in Czechia, Hungary, and Poland with subsidiaries. Since 2002 Engel Finland has supplemented the “Eastern Network” and serves also the neighbouring Estonia. Customers in Latvia and Lithuania are served by Engel Poland. Currently the network is being expanded through the new construction for the subsidiary Engel Poland, which will be finished by the end of 2006 and in operation in the first quarter of 2007. A further building block in eastern Europe has been the founding of the Engel main office Moscow for the coordination of machine sales in the Republic of Russia.
