Supresta opens lab for flame retardants in Germany

Supresta, Ardsley, NY, USA, has opened a new research and development laboratory in Wolfen, Germany. The facility opened its doors beginning of September after moving from its previous location in Deventer, Netherlands. The new location is close to Supresta’s production facility in Bitterfeld, Sachsen-Anhalt. The Wolfen R&D chemists cooperate with the organisation’s sales and production teams by providing ongoing technical market support to customers: performing flame tests; analysing product issues; and developing new products. The lab has capabilities for both small and large scale testing. It is well outfitted with equipment, including a cone calorimeter to test fire potential and measure smoke evolution and a Werner Matthis lab coater to fabricate test samples as well as handle thermal testing.
