Kraiburg TPE enhances presence in Asia
At Chinaplas, being held in Shanghai from 19 - 22 April 2010, Kraiburg TPE will once again be demonstrating its involvement in the Asian market. Main focus will be on the new Thermolast M compounds that offer customers in the pharmaceuticals and medical markets safe and economical handling of materials that will later come into direct contact with media that ultimately pass into the human bloodstream.
The focus on the Asia-Pacific region continues to be a major thrust in the company’s strategy, and this has been crowned with success. The company said that it was able to fully meet its sales targets in 2009 and has already booked considerable order volumes for 2010.
Involvement in the Asian market is reflected in the company web site, too. Since 22 March, 2010, customers have access not only to information presented in German and English, buit also in Mandarin.
The Thermolast M brand embraces five series of compounds intended for use in the pharmaceuticals and medical markets. These include materials that can be used up to the liability risk level associated with indirect contact with the blood. “Our market research has revealed that safety aspects represent the major concern in the field of medicine,” reports CEO Franz Hinterecker. That is why this TPE specialist offers its clients a unique service package. Certificates issued as per all the usual medical technology approval standards, such as DIN ISO 10993/5/10/11 and USP Class VI, attest to the suitability of these compounds for direct contact with medicaments. Over and above that, extraction studies conducted by impartial agencies confirm the quality of the Thermolast M compounds.
“That makes us one of the few companies to offer products meeting stringent European standards on the Asian market, too,” according to Roland Ritter, Director for Asia-Pacific operations.
Since August 2008 the TPE manufacturer has its own production facility at Selangor, near the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. From this point the company serves the Asian market. The Malaysian plant, just like the production facilities in Germany and the US complies with the “DIN EN ISO 9001:2000” international quality management standard.
