IISRP to honour Pary with General Award
The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) will honour one of its outstanding leaders at its 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2018 in Madrid, Spain.
Dr. Bruno Pary, retired from ExxonMobil, will be the recipient of the General Award. According to the IISRP, Pary has had a successful career of more than 35 years in the synthetic rubber industry as well as being a promoter of its growth and development. He has been an active member of the IISRP, as both a European Director and International President in 2010. In this position, he coordinated the first Global Rubber Forum in the Middle East, in Dubai. He was a major contributor to the IISRP’s Strategic Direction in planning for the future in 2012 and 2013, and he also served on the Executive Committee. Even after his retirement, he continued his IISRP contribution as a speaker at the 55th AGM in Kyoto. He is currently International Fellow of the University of Akron Research Foundation. In this position, he supports a number of initiatives aiming at the commercialisation of technologies developed in the Ohio Business incubator, amongst the most promising ones is the 3D Dandelion Project, dealing with the industrialisation of alternative natural rubber production.
