Iluna Group announced that it will exhibit at the 25th edition of the beachwear and lingerie fair MarediModa, stand 36, from 7 – 9 November 2017 in Cannes, France. According to Iluna, the company will highlight its “most advanced and responsible” innovation for contemporary resort and swimwear, featuring the Roica Eco Smart family of spandex fibres from Asahi Kasei Corporation as well as the new STEP (sustainable textile production) certification by Oeko-Tex.
Iluna Group says it is a leader in responsible innovations for beachwear and underwear. At the trade show, the company will present the sophisticated designs from its “Made in Italy” Green Label line, including solutions that now only use a new stretch component from the Roica Eco Smart family of fibres from Asahi Kasei, which is said to be the first Global Recycle Standard (GRS)-certified stretch fibre made from more than 50 % of recycled elastic polyurethane filament (spandex) that is sourced from pre-consumer material. Last year, Iluna has converted all its stretch yarn exclusively to using the Roica Eco Smart family for all of its top of the range jacquardtronic and Textronic articles, which meant the whole collection became an industry leader in the production of eco-lace and galloons on global scale, according to the manufacturer.
In addition, the company announced that it has received the STEP (sustainable textile production) certification by Oeko-Tex. This further clarifies and communicates the company’s sustainable production commitment for manufacturing and processing in a transparent, clear manner, said Iluna. In the beachwear collection, Iluna will present a full range of matching sarongs with fringes and all-over designs. Through continuous research into responsible and innovative solutions, the company now offers Oeko-Tex certified, flocked and doubled microfiber techniques.
