The Tire Cologne with a focus on tyre recycling
The Tire Cologne, the international trade fair for the tyre industry, which is set to take place from 29 May – 1 June 2018 in Cologne, Germany, announced that it will include a focus on tyre recycling. The show will include a series of seminars, which will take place in the Retreading and Recycling hall at Koelnmesse.
According to the organiser Koelnmesse GmbH, it is the first time that a major tyre show has dedicated time to promoting tyre recycling. The organiser hopes to attract a number of equipment manufacturers and Tyre and Rubber Recycling magazine will be operating a series of eight seminars covering a wide range of topics concerning the tyre recycling industry.
Planned speakers will include representatives of the tyre industry alongside experts from the recycling field and topics will range from the current state of the market, through technologies and developments to the environmental impact of end-of-life tyres on the environment. There will also be a special panel covering the latest developments on the crumb rubber infill challenge to recycling. The organiser also plans a display showing the lifecycle of the tyre from manufacture to end of waste and new products.
