New range of co-polymer polyols for flex foam applications

Dow Polyurethanes, a business division of DowDuPont Materials Science, announced that it is launching a new range of co-polymer polyols (CPPs) to address the demanding and diverse requirements of the flex foam industry.

Dow said it is confident that the four new CPPs on offer – Voralux HL 500, Voralux HL 510, Voralux HL 515, Voralux HL 525 – will represent a high class for flex foam applications. The range will aim to address the requirements for low emissions found in automotive, bedding and furniture sectors, having a broad processing range that will yield foam consistency and high solids content for efficient load-bearing properties.

The launch of the new range of CPPs follows a capacity expansion at the Dow plant in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. According to the company, this facility – now the second largest production site of Dow globally – will benefit key downstream markets like furniture and bedding, coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers, building and construction as well as automotive.

Commenting on the launch, Jon Penrice, Vice President Dow Polyurethanes Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) said, “Investment in this new range of CPPs coupled with the expansion of capacity at the plant in Terneuzen demonstrates Dow’s dedication to meeting customer needs through innovation”.
