Cold castable PU elastomer used to create concrete moulds

Gordon Hooker based in Queensland, Australia, has made concrete moulds (pattern liners) using Era Polymers' Erapol CCM75A for Stratumn Unlimited PNG to manufacture pre-cast concrete panels for the Star Mountain Plaza project in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG).

According to Era Polymers, Erapol CCM75A is a medium performance cold castable polyurethane elastomer free from MOCA and flammable solvents. It produces an economical elastomer with good toughness and high elongation and chemical resistance. The product has a low viscosity, a pot-life of 13 min and can be cured at room or elevated temperatures, so is easy to process. Applications include, e.g., concrete and flexible moulds, stamp pads, cast in place linings, sound dampening applications, and casters.
