New Troester compact extruder presented at DKT

Troester, Hannover, Germany, exhibited at this year’s DKT a vacuum extruder of the latest type, with 4 AC motors integrated into the gearbox. Three motors drive the screw, the fourth provides separately for the drive of the feed roll, which can be controlled in relation to the screw speed or the torque. A further advantage of the new machine is its compact design, since both the PLC control, as well as control cabinets and all necessary additional units are housed underneath the extruder. The especially maintenance-friendly and user-friendly drive design (there are no V-belts to maintain with this low-noise extruder) convinced a European compound manufacturer at DKT, with whom a deal was concluded at the trade fair itself.
