Bio-based thermoplastic polyurethanes

New grades of the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) Desmopan based on polyester and polyether diols contain up to 72 % per weight of renewable raw materials. The mechanical properties of these bio-based materials match those of their fully synthetic TPU counterparts in virtually all respects and thus offer a sustainable material solution for many applications.
