The 28^th international tyre exhibition Reifen will take place from 27 – 30 May 2014 in Essen, Germany. The trade show covers the sectors new tyres, vulcanisation, tyre retreading, trading and services, as well as tyre and chassis technology. The focus of the biennial event are tyres, casings, tubes, tyre accessories, workshop equipment and facilities, as well as equipment and tools for tyre retreading, repair, and vulcanisation. According to the organiser Messe Essen GmbH, Reifen 2012 attracted 653 exhibitors from 44 countries as well as around 19,000 visitors from more than 130 nations. One of the highlights of this year's trade show will be the “Reifen Innovation Awards”, awarded for the fifth time by Messe Essen and the Federal Association of the Tyre Trade and the Vulcanisers' Skilled Trade (Bundesverband Reifenhandel und Vulkaniseur-Handwerk – BRV).
