RTP opens manufacturing facility in Ladenburg, Germany

RTP announced that it has opened a new manufacturing plant in Ladenburg, Germany. Operating as RTP Deutschland GmbH, the operation will produce a wide range of products including very long fiber composites, and conductive compounds in a 5,600 square meter (61,500 square feet) facility.

"Having a German location, along with RTP Company's current manufacturing plant in Beaune, France, strengthens our commitment to the European market for engineered thermoplastics compounds," said John Van Wijk, Director of Sales - Europe at RTP Company. "In addition to expanding manufacturing capacity, the Ladenburg plant also houses on-site product development engineers as well as a quality assurance laboratory."

"The benefits that opening this new facility will provide include expanded product lines for Europe in key growth areas of RTP Company's wide portfolio of custom compounds, shortened lead times and increased customer confidence in RTP Company as a primary supplier by having two European operations," explained John Onken, Chief of Staff at RTP Company.

"Since acquiring our Beaune operation in 1995, RTP Company has undergone a world-wide expansion that has significantly increased our global footprint by placing manufacturing and customer support facilities in the regions around the globe where our OEM and processing partners conduct business," said Onken. "RTP Company's market for engineered materials in Europe has grown to where a second location is necessary for RTP Company to provide the caliber of service our customers expect."

With the establishment of its Ladenburg, Germany facility, RTP Company now has 11 globally positioned manufacturing sites. Other locations include Beaune, France; Suzhou, China; Singapore; Monterrey, Mexico along with six plants in the US.
