Polyurethanes are extremely versatile materials which can be manufactured in different forms ranging from thermosets to thermoplastics. Manufacture under different processing conditions makes them suitable for a wide range of applications and able to fulfill diverse requirements and product profiles. Appropriate and innovative stabilization is not only essential for the polymer to endure processing but also adds value to the material addressing the application requirements. The object of this paper is to illustrate how innovative stabilization systems provide an improved quality of polyurethanes after synthesis and processing while extending the service life of the final articles during the end application and thus broadening their field of application.
