ACMOS Chemie has been founded as a supplier of mould release agents in 1962. But its origins are older than that. First established in 1909 by Heinrich Tietjen, as a trading house for tobacco and oil, the company continues to operate from its base in Bremen, Germany. First mould release agents were brought into the market beginning in 1922 mainly for concrete and wood. In the sixties, first release agents for polyurethane were developed and showed a very quick growth. Today, the company uses state-of-the-art technology to be a leading supplier in its core markets. Dr. Klaus Semmler, the current CEO, talked us through the evolution of the business and why it has continued operating successfully for so many years.
