Interplast, the trade fair and congress for plastic technology integration, will open its doors from 18 – 22 August 2014 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil. According to the organiser Messe Brasil, the biennial event is Brazil’s leading fair for the plastics industry. Interplast is promoted and produced by Simpesc (Plastics Trade Association of Santa Catarina) with the support of Abiplast (Brazilian Plastic Industry Association) and Abimaq (Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment). Now in its eighth year, the trade fair is expected to bring together approximately 550 exhibitors, covering solutions and technologies in the sectors of machinery and equipment, tooling, packaging, raw materials, peripherals, and design services. The congress Cintec 2014 Plastics, organised by UniSociesc, will take place in parallel to the fair and is expected to attract over 400 attendees. In addition, the second edition of EuroMold Brasil, the international trade fair for tool manufacturers and mould builders, design and product development, will simultaneously be held. EuroMold Brasil was made possible through a joint venture between Messe Brasil and the German trade fair organiser Demat.
