Impregnating polyurethane sealer/primer for concrete protection

This paper presents a study on a newly developed polyurethane sealer/primer and focuses on its application to concrete protection and durability. Waterproofing performances were tested by adhesion strength to dry, damp concrete surface, water impermeability and breathability.

The results show the sealer/primer achieves excellent adhesion on both dry and damp concrete substrates, forms a breathable coating layer and also gives excellent waterproof and water impermeability. As a waterproof sealer/primer, it can be combined with traditional acrylic latex, sealant and polyurea systems to provide a high performance waterproof solution for concrete protection.
