The 27th international exhibition on plastics and rubber industries Chinaplas is set to take place from 20 – 23 May 2013 at the China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. The event is Asia's largest and the world's second largest plastics and rubber trade show. Chinaplas 2013 is organised by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and co-organised by the China Foreign Trade Centre (Group), the China National Light Industry Council – China Plastics Processing Industry Association, the China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, the Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, Messe Duesseldorf China Ltd., the Plastic Trade Association of Shanghai, and Beijing Yazhan Exhibition Services Ltd. According to the organiser, Chinaplas 2012 recorded a total of 2,729 exhibitors from 36 countries. This included 13 country/region pavilions organised by Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, and the USA. Furthermore, Chinaplas 2012 attracted a total of 109,858 visitors (25,6 % international) from 150 countries. Next year's show is expected to hit the new record of 220,000 m² exhibition area and will occupy all of the 26 exhibition halls in zone A and zone B of the venue.
