Of course some people say that he was a great visionary who predicted the tide of events. But I tell you.... the greatest visionaries ever were the rock group „Supertramp“ some of you might remember.
I realised that when I was digging in my old vinyl records and found the cover of the „Crisis? What Crisis?“ album. It shows a guy sitting in a deckchair in the middle of a rotten industrial complex. You just have to have a look at their song and album titles to see how right they were….
„Surely“ (1970), „Times have changed“ (1971) and we have seen „Better days“ (1985). „Little by little“ (2002) we learn, that bank managers in a „Goldrush“ (2002) committed „The crime of the century“ (1974) acting „Free as a bird“ (1987). „Even in the quietest moments“ (1977) those „Poor boy“s (1975) are now singing the „Dead Man’s Blues“ (2002), asking the politicians: „I’m beggin’ you“ (1987) can you „Give a little bit“ (1977) more money? That sounds like a „Fool’s Overture“ (1977) in „A Soap Box Opera“ (1975). But „From now on“ (1977) we „Know who you are“ (1982) and you are „Indelibly stamped“ (1971). Meanwhile automotive manufacturers are asking the governments for „Asylum“ (1974) while firing „Cannonball“s (1985) at the „Downstream“ (1977) industry.
