Global production of natural rubber on the decline

The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) has recently published its second monthly bulletin of rubber statistics covering up-to-date data of the natural rubber industry.
Member governments of the ANRPC account for around 94 % of the global production of natural rubber and comprise China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The publication is fully based on official data reported by member governments on a monthly basis.
The bulletin includes data and forecasts reported at the end of March 2009, an outlook for 2009, as well as some statistics from secondary sources. According to the report, production entered into a declining phase in all natural rubber producing countries.
