High temperature resistance up to 170 °C combined with weight reduction and the resulting fuel reduction: this has been guaranteed by the high-performance TPE Hipex from Kraiburg TPE since its market launch in October 2008 for customers from the automobile and machinery sectors. This fills a major gap in the field of elastomer materials. With high-performance TPE it is possible to work with the multi-component injection moulding process.

Furthermore it offers not only temperature and resistance to oils or greases, but also excellent bonding properties on technical plastics such as PA, PBT or POM. In close collaboration with customers, Kraiburg TPE has developed this material category continuously in the spirit of the company’s motto “custom-engineered TPE and more”. As a result thermoplastic elastomers are moving steadily into the class of high-performance rubbers and opening up new economic doors in production.
