KraussMaffei and Netstal subsidiaries to merge in China

During a press conference at Chinaplas 2011 KraussMaffei Group announced that it is bundling forces on the Chinese market. It is planned that – beginning on 1 July - a single subsidiary will market the products of all three brands of the group – KraussMaffei, KraussMaffei Berstorff and Netstal.

This new subsidiary will merge two existing Chinese subsidiaries into Shanghai KraussMaffei Machinery Co. Ltd., located in Shanghai. It will have about 250 employees. The company expects a growing demand that will drive expansion at the Haiyan production plant in the coming years.

Managing director of the new KM subsidiary will be Harald Schweitzer. Andreas Nydegger, currently Managing Director of Netstal’s Chinese subsidiary, will support Schweitzer through the transition, but it was announced that he plans to leave the company at the end of the year.

Each of the three brands will continue to operate independently in the market.
