PU China 2010 preview: Asia Polyurethane (APU)

Asia Polyurethane (APU), based in Singapore, specialises in the blending and supply of customised design PU resins for industries such as domestic appliances, automotive components, petrochemical insulation projects, furniture and general construction. APU emphasises its close cooperation with customers to improve their production processes and to enhance productivity and properties of their foam systems.

The company is leading the way for the introduction of zero ODP systems into the market: Since 1997, it has been supplying cyclopentane systems to refrigeration makers. Alternative blowing agent technologies to HCFC141b have been developed and launched by APU. Some of these “green” products include systems for making structural foam, steering wheels, construction panels, spray foam, and insulation panels. In addition, the company has built the first residential house in Singapore to be awarded with the BCA Green Mark award, and its products are certified under the Singapore Green Label Scheme.
