BMS and Züblin want to cooperate on energy-efficient buildings

Ed. Züblin AG, a German construction and engineering company based in Stuttgart, and Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) intend to cooperate on sustainable construction. Both companies recently signed a memorandum of understanding on a pilot project in the turn-key construction of an energy-efficient commercial building. As part of the agreement, the EcoCommercial Building programme of BMS and its network members will partner with Züblin regarding integrated consulting, energy and material solutions.

The key focus of the cooperation with Züblin will be on optimising the energy demand of buildings through building envelope insulation concepts, energy-efficient building technologies, renewable energy applications, and interior solutions to increase user comfort and health as well as energy efficiency.

The EcoCommercial Building programme provides decision-makers in the construction industry with a portfolio of services and material solutions for energy efficient and economic construction. In cooperation with its interdisciplinary network, BMS supports e.g. architects, project developers and construction companies, property developers and real estate managers of large companies in the implementation of public and commercial buildings that exceed the existing sustainability standards.

The portfolio ranges from energy efficiency calculations during planning to the use of sustainable materials and the generation of renewable energy.
