Melitek partners with Borealis

The Danish specialist for medical TPEs, Melitek A/S partners with Borealis for the production of customised compounds for the healthcare industry. Melitek uses the Bormed polyolefins as base materials for its colour matched compounds, compounds for laser welding or marking, with long term permanent slip and UV protection, etc. While full compliance documentation for the compounds will be made available by Melitek, both companies will offer service and assistance.

Melitek manufactures polyolefin based TPE and TPO compounds that are customised for pharmaceutical packaging and medical devices. The materials are sold under the meliflex trade name. The company started production of these materials 1998 at its plant in Hellerup. Since 2003 meliflex is produced at the company’s plant in Nr. Alslev south of Copenhagen.
