Running barefoot with TPU socks
The Amphibian, launched in April of this year, is an ultra-thin sock-like hybrid that can be worn on land and in water. The soles of this minimalist shoe are made of an 1.2 mm very abrasion-resistant TPU. David Zasloff, Chief Executive of the Californian shoe maker announced recently that the company will be completely redesigning the sole for 2011, based on information already received from barefoot runners and others. The first Sockwa generation was made for use in beach soccer tournaments in 2008.
