F. Franceschetti introduces new Marfran compounds

The Italian Compounder Fran­cesco Franceschetti Elastomeri (FFE), Corte Francia-Brescia, has introduced new Marfran SEBS-based TPE compounds. Marfran KPO10-240 is a transparent, oil-free Shore D grade that is certified for food contact according to FDA and EU 10/2011.

Marfran KPA is a transparent, oil-free Shore A grade. FFE said that the results of tests carried out by an independent test laboratory indicate that it can be classified as suitable for food contact according to FDA and EU 10/2011. Both grades are suitable for extrusion and injection moulding and are available in different hardnesses. Possible applications include food containers, soft gaskets, corks, ski boots, sporting goods, and toys.

Another new product from FFE is Marfran E WLH1. This 0 Shore A gel-like grade is transparent, soft and certified according to UNI/EN/ISO 10993-5:2009 for safe skin contact. It can be extruded and injection-moulded for applications such as cable sealing, orthopedic devices, shoe soles, horse and bicycle saddles, knee pads, toys, antislip back carpets, films and extruded sheets, etc.
